Irrigation Systems
Irrigation Systems in Dubai
Irrigation is the part of a Dubai garden that fails silently — a blocked drip line or a misaligned zone doesn't announce itself, it just shows up weeks later as a dying planting bed or a patchy lawn. We design and install zoned irrigation systems as part of new landscape projects, and retrofit or repair irrigation on existing gardens where the current system isn't working properly.

What a properly designed irrigation system includes
A garden irrigation system is more than a single timer and a loop of pipe. It's zoned by planting type — lawn, shrub beds, trees, potted areas — because each has different watering needs, and each zone runs on its own schedule so nothing is over- or under-watered relative to what's actually planted there.

Drip irrigation for beds and borders
Drip irrigation delivers water directly to the root zone of planting beds and borders, which cuts water waste significantly compared to spray heads — less evaporation, less overspray onto paving, and more consistent moisture at the root where the plant actually needs it. This is our default for planting beds across almost every project.
Zoned systems for lawns and larger areas
Lawn areas are typically zoned separately from beds, since grass has different run-time and frequency needs than shrubs or trees. For larger community or commercial sites, zoning also has to account for how public-space turf and planting takes more wear than a private garden.
Retrofitting and repairing existing systems
A lot of the irrigation work we do is retrofit and repair on gardens we didn't originally install — replacing a failing manual system, fixing blocked or damaged drip lines, correcting zones that were never properly balanced, or extending coverage after a planting bed was added or changed.
Dubai climate and water considerations
Water efficiency isn't optional in this climate — zoned drip systems are the practical way to keep a garden alive through summer without excessive water use, and correctly sized irrigation reduces the risk of both plant stress from underwatering and root rot from overwatering, which are both common failure modes we see in gardens with a poorly designed system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Both — we design and install irrigation as part of new landscape projects, and we also retrofit, repair or extend irrigation on existing gardens we didn't originally build.
Yes, this is one of the most common call-outs we get. Uneven watering, blocked drip lines and misaligned zones are the usual causes, and a site visit will identify which one it is.
For planting beds and borders, yes — drip irrigation wastes far less water to evaporation and overspray than spray heads. Lawns are typically still watered with a dedicated zone suited to turf, which may use sprinklers or subsurface drip depending on the area.
Yes, retrofitting irrigation into an established garden is a common project for us, though the work is more involved than installing it alongside new planting since existing beds and hardscape have to be worked around.
